Pantograph or border-to-border designs consist of repeated pattern rows that extend from one edge of the quilt to the other.
Custom quilts are individually priced due to their unique nature. These designs may include individual block patterns, stitch-in-the-ditch, outlining, cross-hatching, freehand quilting, or the use of templates. Many of these techniques involve marking, measuring, and centering, which are more time-consuming but greatly enhance the quilt.
For Show quilts are also priced on an individual basis, intended for those wishing to enter local or guild quilt shows or desiring an exceptionally special quilt for their home. These quilts typically feature stippling, background grids, feathers, and/or denser freehand quilting designs. This style of quilting is highly labor-intensive, requiring extensive marking, measuring, and precision.
Heirloom quilts are individually priced for clients seeking a quilt to be carefully handled and passed down through generations. These quilts often incorporate tight stippling, small background grids, feathers, trapunto, and/or very dense freehand quilting designs. This form of quilting is extremely labor-intensive, involving significantly more quilting, as well as considerable marking, measuring, and accuracy.
If you provide your own binding rather than purchase from us, we will attach your binding to your quilt by machine for $20.00. Please keep in mind that we trim and square the quilt before applying the binding. We apply binding by machine to both the front and back.
In order to ensure the best results for your project, sometimes quilts require preparation or repairs. Preparation services include thread trimming, pressing, or anything else that might be required to ensure success. Repair services can include repairing ripped seams or resewing borders or other seams to reduce fullness. This services is provided for $30.00.

First, make sure your quilt top is clean, pressed, and free of loose threads. Trim any excess fabric or uneven edges. Next, cut your backing fabric and batting at least 4 inches larger than the quilt top on all sides to allow for proper loading onto the longarm machine. Ensure that the backing fabric is square and free of seams that could cause tension issues. If you’re providing your own batting, make sure it’s the appropriate type and quality for your project. Lastly, secure any embellishments or appliqués to prevent them from shifting during the quilting process. By taking these steps, you’ll allow me to beautifully finish your quilt.
The quilting process can vary significantly in duration depending on several factors, including the size of the quilt, the complexity of the design, and the specific techniques used. For a simple edge-to-edge pattern on a medium-sized quilt, the quilting can be completed in just one day. However, for more intricate custom designs, larger quilts, or projects requiring detailed techniques like trapunto or ruler work, the process can extend to several days or weeks. My turnaround time is typically 1 week (plus shipping time), depending on the complexity and size of your quilt. Additionally, my schedule and workload can affect the turnaround time.
Can I choose my quilting pattern?
